Ahmed Hassanein: Writer, Diplomat and Desert Explorer
One of my favorite Egyptian politicians/diplomats/explorer : Ahmed Hassanein Pasha , the man who actually ruled Egypt from the backstage during the monarchy. Hassanein pasha was widely described as womanizer , a politician you should not mess with you , the king's tutor who controlled the last ruling king of Egypt and Sudan yet few knew that he was few and true founding fathers of Egyptian explorers when it comes to desert exploration in time there was no GPS.

- ع أن من يحب الجيش المصرى حقا وصدقا ويخاف عليه يدرك خطأ دخول الجيش كطرف فى أى صراع سياسى حتى لو كان مع أقلية ضئيلة، ويدرك أن الأخطر من ذلك هو أن يصبح الجيش الجهة الحاكمة التى يصب الناس عليها سخطهم من تعقيدات الواقع المدنى المتهالك التى تحتاج إلى المرونة والحوار والتوافق، وليس إلى الحسم والقمع والفرم كما يظن الكثيرون. (راجع للتوضيح أكثر مقالا سابقا لى بعنوان حافظوا على الجيش المصرى نشر فى 3 سبتمبر الماضى).
- لأن الأيام التى يموت الناس فيها فى صمت انقضت بمولد ثورة الاتصالات، وبرغم كل المحاولات المضنية التى يبذلها المثقفون العتاولة لإقناع السيسى بأن معارضيه «ليسوا مواطنين وليسوا مصريين»، فإن السيسى سيدرك مع الوقت أن وجود أكبر عدد من المثقفين والإعلاميين فى صفك ليس كافيا لحل مشاكلك ولا لإسكات أصوات كل من يعارضك إلى الأبد، وأنه إذا كان الصراع العسكرى يقود فى النهاية إلى مائدة التفاوض فإن الصراع السياسى من باب أولى سيقود إليها أيضا

Our NASA Man Dr. Farouk El Baz in short statements for Al Masry Al Youm yet very important and very wise. He does not want El Sisi to run for presidency but if the general does then he must take off his military suit and stop the control of army generals on the State's institutions. The Arab Spring did not fail but it needs time especially that education , the true core of change needs to be reform. The ministry of education ignored his initiative to fight illiteracy in the country side despite he does not want any financial support from them
- طالب «الباز» الفريق «السيسي» حال قبوله الترشح استجابة للضغط الشعبي، بالتخلي عن بذلته العسكرية، وعدم الاستعانة بمسؤولي القوات المسلحة في إدارة مؤسسات الدولة، حتى لا يجدد أخطاء من سبقوه من الرؤساء المنتمين للمؤسسة العسكرية.
- أنه ضد سيطرة قادة الجيش على مؤسسات الدولة، ولكنه في الوقت نفسه يرفض مقولة «يسقط حكم العسكر» احتراما لجهودهم، واعتبر أن «الربيع العربي» لم يفشل، ولكن الأخطاء التى حدثت بسببه خلال الأعوام الثلاثة الماضية جعلت الشعوب تثور مجددًا.
- ثورتي يناير ويونيو»، قال «الباز»: «المواطنون تخيلوا أنه بقيام الثورات ينصلح الحال، وهذا مستحيل، فإصلاح التعليم يحتاج إلى سنوات طويلة ليكون هناك نظام حقيقى يسمح بتعليم جيد، ولكن تغيير الأوضاع بشكل عام قد يأخذ نحو 5 سنوات شريطة ألا يتم النظر للماضي».
- وأبدى «الباز» دهشته من عدم استجابة وزارة التربية والتعليم، لمبادرته لمحو أمية المواطنين في القرى والنجوع، عن طريق شباب متطوعين من طلبة الجامعات المختلفة، تحت شعار «اللى اتعلم عليه يعلّم»، وخذلته في بدء الحملة، وقال: «لا أريد من الوزارة سوى ختم منها للسماح بالمشروع، ولا أريد منها أي دعم مادي أو حتى معنوي، ومن سيقوم بذلك طلاب متطوعون».
